SOME OF OUR PARTNERS IN SOUTH AFRICA

- Raphael Centre staff and clients building fences to protect vegetable gardens.
The Raphael Centre provides care and support to people with AIDS, supports and develops community action, and fights the stigma and discrimination surrounding the disease.

- Orphans with new school uniforms bought for them with Soweto Connection funding. This will enable them to get the education that is so vital in order to break the ongoing cycles of poverty.
Soweto Connection donations have gone to the Inkanyezi HIV/AIDS Programme which helps the people of Thulumtwana, Orange Farm. The people of Thulumtwana typify the huge gap that exists between rich and poor in South Africa, as they struggle to survive in squatter camps and cannot get work no matter how hard they try. They also struggle with social and health problems, with little assistance from the state.
